Murrya gets a qualifier in the first round but the ljubicic in the second

Henman gets verdasco in the first, ferrer in the second and possibly nalbandian in the third. Awful draw...

Meh. Ljubicic on clay or grass I would have been happy, but Ljubi indoors. . . although have I heard that Madrid is quite slow? Might suit Andy better.

Always assuming he gets past the qualifier first of course. . .

Any idea who the likely qualifiers are?

the 6 qualifiers will be:

1) Youzhny or Falla
2) Almagro or Fish
3) Fraile
4) Benneteau or Mirnyi
5) Rascon or Navarro Pastor
6) Del Potro or Mathieu

some very tricky potential matchups for Andy

Almagro or Fish would be ok for Andy. I fancy Andy's chances against Ljubo, he came close to beating him in Zagreb earlier in the year on indoor hard and Andy's game has improved since then with Brad.

Lujbo won Vienna. he said the courts there were perfect for him! Though on andy's site, he said because they playing at altitude, the balls flies more quicker, so he has to react more quickly. even if murray does get through, it will be tough. lujbo on form, hes defending his points following his final appearance last year. so its not going to be easy for him either. even though hes not playing till wednesday the latest and murray would have adapted to the surface providing he wins his first round match.

henmans is not a bad draw. likr murray, hes also got an advantage over ferrer and nalbandian. so hopefully his form will continue. i dont think nalby going to do well, he out of form and has an outside chance for the masters cup, wheres he the defending champion. So henman got a good a chance as murray to do well. Hope for the best for Andy and Tim!

I can see Tim making the Semis if he plays his best but Andy's draw after Round 1 is horrible. Ljubicic who i think he will beat but then either Nieminen, Gasguet or Djokivic.

Ouch!

If he comes through that lot we will know he has really arrived!
