The Murrays served at 66%, hit 3 aces and 5 double faults. They won 80% of their 1st serve points and 57% of their 2nd serve points [crucially 61% in set 2]. They took 0/3 bp chances and saved 1 match point.
Dancevic and Ginepri served at 78%, they won 64% of 1st serve pts and 65% of 2nd serve pts. They took 1/7 bp chances.
The win will take Jamie up from 110 to 103 in the world rankings, he needs just 7 more points to reach the top 100 doubles, something he'll easily achieve if he and Andy reach the semis.
Safin and lopez on a hard court will probably be to tough though...
i wonder how well the two brothers compliment each others play...is there a lot of bickering?
They compliment each other well, not quite as well as Jamie and Colin Fleming but still pretty well. Andy's good on the return, Jamie's strengths are at the net, crossing and volleying, Jamie's returning is getting a lot better. Working with Louis Cayer has helped him a lot.
A journalist asked whether they bickered on court after their Aberdeen Cup match, Andy said no they try to support each other on court.
Well done to the Murrays and just 1 more win and Jamie will be a top 100 player in doubles and we'll have 2 top 100 doubles players if they get through Safin/Lopez

Supporting Andy Murrays charge to the 2009 Wimbledon crown.
As Jamie has lost his regular doubles partner, and Auckland doesn't have one, I would really like to see these two get together and see how they gel. They could make a really good pair if it works.
If they win their next match and Aucks/Delgado reach the final (i think) we could have three doubles players in the top 100 next week!
That would be absolutely fantastic, I hope it happens. Soon we could have 5 doubles specialists in the top 150 with Martin Lee and Jonny Marray both 1 good challenger performance away [and possibly 6 in the near future as I'm sure Andy'll get there at some point].
And John Lloyd says we're struggling for doubles players !! We're almost spoilt for choice, we just need to give some of our established teams a chance instead of relying on Andy and Rusedski/Delgado

Jamie Delgado is Auckland's regular doubles partner, they've played the majority of their doubles tournaments with each other. Auckland has also had the most success with Andy so far [though of course that could change this week].
There's a lot at stake for Jamie as if he starts doing really well with Andy, not only will he move into the top 100 and higher, he'll also be almost guaranteed a DC live rubber

From the interview with Lloyd after the DC at the weekend it sounded like he disregards the doubles rankings and doesn't think they count for much. Which is slighly bizarre and not very encouraging for our doubles specialists looking to be in the DC. He also said that Andy and Delgado gel together well as a team, not sure where he got that from because it certainly wasn't the case in the match.
