RE: Sports Personality 2006

Voted for Andy.

This must be the first time in the last two years that I'm sending a text message.

The BBC are clearly not pulling for Andy.

Nicole Cook, Beth Tweddle, Ricky Hatton, Phil Taylor, Joe Calzage, Darren Clarke, Zara Phillips and even Jensen 'one win' Button got a chance to state their case and Andy got the briefest of season highlights squeezed between Sue Barker salivating over Federer and Borg.

And sorry if I blinked at the wrong moment but did Scotland 1 France 0 get a mention? Another great program from the EBC.

Calzaghe didnt even get in the top three.

Slightly bizarre result, but she probably did have the most personality of the nominees. You could tell she was slightly embarrassed about it. Calzaghe definitely should have won.

I think Nicole Cooke did more than anyone else in her field.

Its always confused me whether its for personality or achievement or a nice mix of the two but I think they go more for achievement.

Bit of a farce, but I reckon she gives a hell of a ride.

Re Edited Back: Why is it unsuitable to suggest that a horse rider is good at riding? Maybe the wording was slightly different to what I have changed it to and you got the wrong idea. Or maybe it's the dirty part of your own mind you should be questioning.

Yeh i think andy should of won. Unlucky andy murray. Excuse me but what are you implying by a "hell of a ride". My son is a keen fan of andy and i would hope that he dosent come across it

What annoyed me most was that Zara didn't even have the grace to say thank you to her horse!

Dammit, she wouldn't have won on a carthorse. I know riding skill comes into it but the horse has an awful lot to do with results!

Apologies for the post that offended you. I have made the edit.

We are not a 'nanny state' here but we appeal to young and old and must keep that in mind.

Apologies again and I hope you will continue to post here.

fair enough calzaghe is a great fighter but he has only won one fight to note, simply outstanding that tara should win it. but to  say calzaghe to win when he didnt even make it top 3 is far fetched
