From the commentary, it sounds like Andy's producing some brilliant stuff but isn't being quite as consistent as he needs to be to exploit Gonzo's errors.
Gonzo serving at 3-2 0-15. A brilliant return on the second serve has gonzo on the defensive from the beginning and gonzo nets 0-30. A beautiful backhand winner down the line from andy off a second serve. 15-30. Gonzo hits an easy volley. 15-40. Gonzo goes for too much and his attempted forehand winner goes marginally wide. 30-40. Murray nets an easy(ish) shot. lost his concentration. GAME. Wild forehand from gonzalez.

3-3
Nice to see Andy giving Gonzo a dose of his own medicine and hitting his 2nd serves for winners. Viva the Gonzo wild forehands
ANdy serving at 3-3 15-0 Gonzo catches the net cord and it falls favourably (for us + andy) 30-0 Nice rally with good shots from both players but once again the chilean goes for too much and his forehand is long. 30-15 brilliant shot from Gonzo but it was andy's fault cos he should have got more dept on his shot and andy barely returns the shot from the Chilean. Gonzo follows it up with an easy putaway 40-15. Attempted winner of the second serve is judged to be wide (just) GAME. Nice forehand winner from andy and he leads for the first time 4-3
yeah Andy holds serve! Now if he could just break again please.
Andy's serve has really gotten worse this year, I remember how last time he was up there on the aces and fast serve leaderboard on the USOpen website, now it is sooo slow and still not very much more accurate. I'm sure he'll get it sorted but it's annoying when it means he gets broken all the time and players like Gonzo can really punish it.

I agree Bethan, last year he served so many aces in his two matches, many of them at crucial times and it was a real weapon. This year, his serve just seems to have gone out the window. In 2005 he was regularly hitting 125 and 130 plus serves, but now at best he'll hit a 120mph serve. It makes it difficult for him when he comes up against a really big server, who will hold easily for most of the time. His return game is among the top 5 in the world, hopefully Brad can put some real work in with him on the serve during the winter
