15-15 Gonzo nets
30-15. Gonzalez goes for too much and whips his forehand wide.
40-15. Brave second serve down the T and gonzo's return is long.
40-30. Attempted winner by andy is miles long. He hasnt found his range today at all so far.
DEUCE. Gonzo reads the second serve early steps out wide and hits a forehand winner down the line./
Adv Andy. Good serve sets up an easy putaway.
GAME. Murray takes the pace off totally and eventually gonzo nets.

not the start any of us were hoping for. But Andy has turned a bad start around before, hopefully he can do so today.

He wins his first game.

Gonzalez must be a hard player to play against, he always hits loads of ues but cancels it out by hitting at least as many winners.

I agree Bethan, it must be hard to find a rhythm against a guy so unpredictable like Gonzalez. He's like Tursunov but just hits more winners and hits it even harder !!!

Andy really needs to get lots of 1st serves in for this one, sounds like Gonzalez is dispatching the 2nd for winners worryingly easily so far. Andy needs to kick that 2nd serve up to the backhand and not just place it in the centre of the service box.

15-30. Great point, first andy does brilliantly to read the serve and then smacks a powerful forehand to the corner to set up an easy overhead

30-40. Gonzalez works andy wide this time and then has an easy volley.

0-15. Screamer of a forehand winner from gonzo out of nowhere
0-30. Brilliant forehand to the corner sets up another overhead but andy fluffs it and gonzo produces a brilliant pass.
15-30. Solid serve followed by an easy overhead.
30-30. A brilliant slice return keeps andy in the point and gonzo makes a dreadful return which is nowher near in.
30-40. This time andy makes a dreadful return and his forehand is about a foot wide.
GAME. Gonzo breaks as Murray double faults. - that was also about a foot wide
