RE: USO pick em predictions competition

I've got the predictions of Johnnylad, Sally, Mkkreuk, Imoen, Murrayman650 and myself (I think Andymonium has all the others), and currently, after 12 results, the table looks like this:-

Stew_B 10
Sally 8
Johnnylad 6
Murrayman650 6
Imoen 6
Mkkreuk 6

Unfortunaltely for Murrayman650, it appears that there are several errors in his predictions, so whilst I'll try and iron it out, he may lose some points later on as a result.

Just seen the amazing Agassi match and with that result, I ended up on 18/24 for the day, which hopefully isn't too bad ... but strangely enough, 4 of the 6 matches that went against me were grouped together in the 15th 1/16th of the draw, which I won't get any points at all for that section in R2, R3 or R4.

Who is doing the results ? I thought it was Andymonium...Stew can you check with him...it would be good to have one place for the leaderboard / table...also can I suggest that it is only updated at the completion of a full round...what do you think ?

Thanks..........

Andymonium is doing the results, I'm just trying to help out. I sent Andymonium my predictions, along with the predictions posted on the forum in my spreadsheet, and although I only have the predictions of the people who posted them on the forum, Andymonium has them all.

About only updating the the leaderboard at the end of the round, since a round lasts for 2-3 days, I think daily updates would possibly be best.

Anyway, with the pedictions I have, here's the leaderboard after day 1 :
Stew_B 18
Sally 18
Imoen 13
Johnnylad 13
Mkkreuk 13
Murrayman650 13

FAO: Murrayman650, I'm going to list some of the errors here, along with what I've done about them in my spreadsheet, however, Andymonium will have the final say in what should be done.

In Round 1, you predicted Karlovic to beat Soderling, but included Solderling in Round 2, and also up to and including the Semifinal; for this, I've changed your first round prediction to Soderling.

In Round 1, you predicted Verdasco to beat Santoro, but included Santoro in Round 2 (where he beat Zabaleta) and Round 3 (where he lost to Roddick); for this, I've changed your first round prediction to Santoro.

In Round 1, you predicted Montanes to beat Hewitt, in Round 2, Montanes to beat Kim, and in Round 3, Djokovic to beat Hewitt. For this, I've just assumed you predicted Djokovic to beat Montanes in Round 3.

In Round 2, you predicted Johansson to beat Becker, but in Round 3, you predicted Baghdatis to beat Becker. For this, I've now got Baghdatis beating Johansson in Round 3.

Okay, that's just the bottom half of the draw! I think that there's also some things wrong with the top half, so I'll have a look through that later.

But if I'm too late it's ok.

When will the points for round 1 be posted?  Have you found my spreadsheet useful?

how does the scoring work in round 2? (and beyond). Do you have to have the correct winner to gain the points or the correct winner and loser?

You only get points for 2nd rnd matches if the 2nd rnd winner ONLY matches your selection.

For eg I have Ljubicic v Gasguet in the 2nd rnd.....my understanding is that if Gasguet wins this round then I get the 2pts even though he is not playing Ljubici.

I cant check back as the contest web page is no longer there but Im sure that is how it works....!

Simple question....Coria retired v Sweeting ? How is that resolved...I chose Coria....is this void or is it the case of Sweeting won due to a retirement ?

Andymonium can you decide please

If I take Coria as a defeat then Im 42/64 1st round..which is nearly 66% sucess rate !

These are just the scores of the people I have, and I've given both Sally and Mkkreuk a point for predicting Sweeting to beat Coria:-

Stew_B 46
Sally 45
Imoen 42
Mkkreuk 40
Johnnylad 37
Murrayman650 37

In round 2, Imoen, Johnnylad and Murrayman all predicted Rochus to beat Coria, but I predicted Coria to beat Rochus

As Coria retired, and didn't just lose, would I be able to retrospectively change my 2nd round prediction to Rochus beating Sweeting?

Rob, I'm sorry if we're bothering you with these questions!

I got 50 in R1, I think. When I new I was close, I really wanted to get the half century (sad, I know!) so I was sweating on the last two matches late last night, where my picks went 2 sets up then got pegged back to 2-2 before both winning the final set in their matches.
