I suppose this can be an early bday present for me I suppose, since it's my birthday this Saturday and maybe winning the title on Sunday will be a belated one.

Supporting Andy Murrays charge to the 2009 Wimbledon crown.
Woke up this morning still with a broad smile on my face
And I am also a Federer fan! But if his various streaks had to be ended by anybody, I am delighted that it was Andy.
Now if only Brad can keep his feet on the ground and his mind focussed on the next match, he has a chance of going far in this tournament. He has beaten Ginepri before, last year in Bangkok; if Roddick beats Chela, he has beaten Roddick before (twice!) and if he could repeat those results that would take him to a semi!
Missed all the fun and excitement here last night....followed it on the ATP live score via WAP so felt the excitement of it all...pretty speechless last night...saw some highlights....Fed was really off but Andys returns were pretty special at times !!!
Jonathan Overand on BBC Five Live summed it up...."the best is yet to come"
Nothing more to add but that we really do have a world class tennis pro in Andy and I have to pinch myself that he is 'Scottish' !!!
couldn't believe it when i saw the news last night, i hadn't been following the tennis at all, was watching the footie. fabulous result for the lad, if he didnt know it before, he now knows he has to fear no one on court (cept Boggo that is). can he make the YEC's i wonder, it that realistic, probably not but neither has anything else this boy has achieved so so
on a side not this morning the bbc wanted to find out whats more impressive murrays win or englands 4-0, i was thinking you have to be kidding me, lets see a comfortable win over a team who couldnt qualify for the WC or a SS win over a man who it fast heading his way for greatest ever.
surely andy can have one eye on the sports personaility award, although with the way things are going owen hargreaves may be up for it too.

For the Race, he 19th the moment, with his Cincinatti points, he ranked roughly 15/14th, but if he was to win the whole thing then he'll be ranked no higher than 10, depends on the other players as well. Hes got a chance if he was to maintain his form through the US Open and gets to the QFs, then his chances of appearing at YEC will increase especially with Madirid and Paris masters to come!
is this run down to gilbert or a just a coincidence, surely looks like a great decision to back andy and splash the cash, the potentail he can give back to the sport in britian is huge, and at the end of the day whne you are talking about global sport the wage is a drop in the ocean really, also if murray continues like this i am sure the lta will be expecting him to stump up a extremly high % of it anyway, he should be able to afford it.

He hasn't had time to change anything really. What he is probably able to do to perfection, even at this stage, is motivation. If he can go on to improve the serve, the sky is the limit.
Re motivation - I read somewhere, I don't think on this board, that Andy is threatened with a Bolletieri Boot Camp session when he drops out of this tournament. That should motivate him to the final!!
