correct, murray poor, good serving at time, alot of slice which u wont see in most of the matches just a tim and murray thing but yeh he won roll on federer which to note andy will have to be at his best, if he plays like to day fed will eat him 6-2 6-2 around that,. needs to really get going and he looked lazy at times today.
I'm interested to see how Brad gets Andy ready for this match-up and how Andy treats it. I think he'll up his level and at least run close, plus Federer doesn't seem to be on form yet. Maybe I'm being stupidly optimistic but you never know.

u jus dont beat fed, no one only nadal on caly, look how supreme gaguet was and he lost- well as for rudsedski, what a crap bag, he will get thrashed i think 6-4 6-2
Tough for Tim. i know its difficult to play against his rival, but i sadly think hes not going to get back in the top 32 by AO. Even if Henman gets an average draw, he could play a seed either way, just hope its not murray!!(AGAIN)
For Murray to play federer again(providing fed does get through) will show how far he has come in his game and see whether he can match up fed's game. Another thing, even though fed is not in great form (didnt play a top 10 player at the toronto masters) it will help andy's cause. However, andy thinks he how to beat him, though i doubt he will, give another 18 months, and then we will see that federer in decline and murray on the rise!
In many respects Tim would have been a worthy winner of the match. He was the aggressive player throughout, he played some good tennis in the first set and had he continued to strike his forehand as accurately as he did in the opening set, he would surely have won. As it was a missed backhand volley at 5-5 40-40 on the Murray serve in the third set was an error he could not afford.
Andy played ok but his returning, especially of the Henman second serve, lacked ambition, very few aggressive returns, nevermind return winners; only 45% won returning second compared to close to 60% in his matches last week.
Yet again Andy failed to serve out a set, a mixed game with an ace and a double fault never looked like a Murray hold. He was fortunate that Tim served second in the final set allowing him to break to win the match. Otherwise his serving was improved on recent displays though there were still periods when he struggled and the faster surface may have played its part.
Tactically Tim chose not to serve and volley but to use his forehand as the approach shot, hitting it aggressively into Murray's backhand corner, then coming into the net to put away the volley. In the first set the tactic worked but as the match went on, Henman's forehand broke down with far too many shots not getting past the net. Andy's tactics seemed bizarre, he would slice mid-court balls then attack the net but Henman had little trouble finding a pass, drop shots were a very strange choice against an opponent fast on his feet and supreme at the net, and he made little effort to construct the points instead letting Tim dictate.
The standard of tennis fell away dramatically in the third set. Henman broke to love as Murray struggled with his serve, then a shocking game from Tim, error after error on his forehand, gifted Andy the break back. Henman successfully challenged a poor overrule from the umpire only to find the umpire making another blunder as he determined the point should be replayed as he believed, incorrectly, that Murray was within reach of Henman's winning volley. Tim survived that game but at 6-5 he gave Andy the opportunity to strike a winning pass and that was it.
So a somewhat disappointing match. Andy showed few signs of the aggressive play he has produced under Gilbert, but Tim couldn't quite execute the victory he deserved.
Tim Henman is so good with his challenges. He's got the last 4 right.
Bad sportsmanship from Andy because he was beaten and should have admitted it but the umpire made them replay the point.
Brad Gilbert doesn't let Andy concede points - he wanted to concede one to Tim at Toronto but was told to let the umpire call the game.
All in all, it was a decent enough match - better than the previous two I think. I think Andy looks like he's feeling it in the legs a bit as his timing looked a bit suspect and Tim really used the court to his advantage at times. I suppose, looking at Berdych and Gasquet's performances today that he should count himself lucky that he got through after a long fortnight. Credit to Andy though - he kept right in there and played some great points. The serve is a worry though - hopefully he'll get that right between now and the USO.
