15-0, serve out wide followed by a cross-court, A hadn't a chance to get to.


15-15, super fh down the line, C got it but A ended with a winner.


second serve. 30-15, A nets as he changes what he wants to do mid shot, silly boy!


second serve. 30-30, great rally again, A just had the edge.


40-30, bh winner from C.


game. volley from C which A chases down but he just misses the next one.


great tennis from both players so far, looking to be a great match.

Andy to serve, more of what happened last time please. Not only was he getting the first serves in, it wasn't because he'd taken pace/depth off them, they were good!


second serve. 0-15, C punishes a short ball from A.


15-15, A toyed with C that point sending him from side to side and C walks back breathing deeply!


30-15, ace. 128mph that one.


40-15, unreturnable.


second serve. game. C makes the mistake in the rally.


A has a great rhythm going and is dominating the rallies.

Murray 2-1 Clement
Murray has to do lots of chasing down balls but it's all to no avail as Clement, who is wearing a purple bandana and huge sunglasses, holds serve.

Murray 2-0 Clement
Murray's coach Brad Gilbert seems pretty relaxed about things, giving a courtside interview to a TV broadcaster as the players swap ends after the first game. His confidence doesn't look misplaced as Murray races through his opening service game.

Murray 1-0 Clement
It's 31C on court in Washington and Murray proves too hot for Clement in the opening game, clinching it when the Frenchman hits wide at 30-40.

Murray 3-2 Clement
After the opening-game blip, Clement has found his service rhythm and holds without a problem.

Murray 3-1 Clement
Brad Gilbert is back in his seat but still yapping away to a companion. Murray has begun in good rhythm and a 128mph ace - his second of the match - helps him to hold serve easily.
