He may not recover to play in Toronto next week, after Brad's finished giving Andy an ass-whipping for tonight!  My guess is Andy will play in Toronto in about 12 months...

I hope not, best way to ruin a kid is to tell him that solid A is not good enough.

Poor performance in the final set but it has been a good week regardless. Just too many errors and his serve is needing a complete overhaul. I think if he had managed to hang onto the break in the first set he would have won but he kept letting Clement back in and Clement is the sort of player who sees an opening and seizes it.

I hope Andy doesn't take a kicking in the papers tomorrow over it.

A nice Wednesday start in Toronto would be good.

well that was rather disappointing in the end. A lot of ridiculous camera angles where you couldn't really see the points.
there'll be plenty more finals though.

I think he's finally learnt not to read and believe the papers. Plus, with the start of football again and Jenson Button winning the grand prix, the tennis result will be even less of a priority than normal (hopefully!)

With any luck - although the BBC weren't exactly complimentary in their report. Honestly - he played a really bad second set but it wasn't for a lack of effort that he lost. He's played so well the whole week, I hardly think he would just chuck it in the final.

Anyway - it'll be interesting to see what Brad's take on it is. I'm sure that he'll have something to say about it somepoint soon. :)

I don't think a Wednesday start is possible as you have to win 6 rounds to win Toronto and that only leaves 5 days. He will be playing on Tuesday if he plays in Toronto as he is not on the OOP for Monday.
