On hard courts this year, Lopez's record isn't very good. He reached rd3 of the Aussie Open but lost in rd1 of Marseille, Doha, Indian Wells and rd2 of Miami. He didn't fare much better on the clay either, not winning two matches in a row until Nottingham when he made the quarters.
Thanks Doug for confirming I'm not paranoid. (Unless you're part of the conspiracy?)
With regard to the weather, I can't understand why tournaments of this level can't provide some sort of blog, telling us what's happening, and (in this case) when play is likely to be resumed.
Just when i thought andy was in a good position, the rain comes falling down!! With America such a big country, i thought weather be really slow!! Hence sunny one end and raining on the other! hope that makes sense im half a sleep!!
Ah well...if they tend to carry on playing all the players in action wont be pleased with the QFs tomorrow! Nite nite!
Also, Tennis TV here (tennis channel) is showing the women's event from San Diego right now....a far better place to hold a tennis tourny....but I am biased as I LOVE San Diego!!!!
Looking forward to my trip in a couple of weeks. Doug, by the way, mum says thanks for all that info (dad particularly keen for us to go to Mexico so that bit much appreciated by him) Don't be surprised if mum comes back to you with even more questions...(sorry!)
If we are in for a long rain delay s'pose I'll have to go to bed....
I really don't mind, let her ask away. I love to help and as you can tell I love that part of the world. I might be biased against going to Mexico esp TJs....the border towns can be rather decadent places, but if you go further south it is a great country to visit.
Yeah....sad...coz I don't think play will finish tonight so they will be getting up every hour just to see no play....hopefully I am wrong....but on the scoreboard for me they only have the Safin match up which is not a good sign.
