I assume everyone's on live scoring, or is anyone actually getting TV coverage?
Anyway, quick question, is it just me, or does everyone find that when you click on live scoring to get the stats., then the score stops updating?
Had this problem before, but just wondered if it's my "fault".
Cheers.
P.S. I'm the one who voted for Andy to lose. He's never lost when I've voted for him to lose, so it's become a superstition. I'm more than happy to vote for a loss for the next 10-15 years if it works!
Update: Bad timing of my post, but the stats. "freezing" the live score applies generally, not because rain has stopped play. Anyone got a webcam site, or a weather forecast?

This like a few other scoreboards works that way, if you decide to look at the stats it does not update the live/current score.
As for the weather, I have checked and it does not look good:
Someone asked a couple of days ago why the late start in DC, I kinda like it because it is so hot there, but this is the problem, bad weather and the matches get backed up as there is little room to move them or Tim gets to play Safin at 1am....wait that was Miami, not DC...but it could well be true tonight.
Also, Tennis TV here (tennis channel) is showing the women's event from San Diego right now....a far better place to hold a tennis tourny....but I am biased as I LOVE San Diego!!!!
Well like Florida a storm can come and go quickly and it will be hot and muggy afterwards, but if you look at that weather report there is a severe weather warning which means lightning in the area etc, so the tourny for good reason becomes concerned for the safety of players and spectators.
Didn't get my prediction in earlier but it was Andy in straights. This is Lopez's first tournament on the US hard courts this year and although he had a comfortable straights win in rd2, Teimur Gabashvili isn't in the same class as Andy.
Lopez is at his best on clay and grass, quite unusual fav surfaces as they're so contrasting. Has reached two Wimby quarters. At the start of July he reached the final of the ATP tournament in Gstaad on clay. Has been as high as 20 but currently ranked 63.
Strength is at the net, excellent volleyer. His other weapon is his leftie serve but this is most effective on grass where the slice on it keeps it low.

Looking forward to my trip in a couple of weeks. Doug, by the way, mum says thanks for all that info (dad particularly keen for us to go to Mexico so that bit much appreciated by him) Don't be surprised if mum comes back to you with even more questions...(sorry!)
If we are in for a long rain delay s'pose I'll have to go to bed....
Well ive gotta go running in 4 hrs time so im gettin to bed! Hopefully when i wake up - andy will have played his match and won without too much exertion...
Looking at the stats so far, Murray's serving has been abysmal, just 34% first serves in. Speaks volumes for his baseline game that he hasn't been broken yet in this match.
He's won 74% points on his 2nd serve which is impressive.
Lopez has hit 5 aces in 4 service games, has a first serve percentage of 70% which will make things difficult for Andy if that level continues. He's won 86% of points on his 1st serve and 67% on his 2nd serve.
3 doubles from Murray, 1 from Lopez. Lopez has missed both his 2 bps so far.
I wonder if Lopez is serve-volleying, he does it quite a bit on grass but sometimes stays back. Has anyone watched him before on hard courts ?

Yeah and also hopefully Brad can give him some tips to get his 1st serve percentage up. Maybe he's getting his ball toss slightly wrong or not stretching up to the ball enough. I think Andy's ball toss is sometimes slightly low compared to other players.
