I reckon Andy in 2 but you never know with him...he wasn't at his best during the davis cup so hopefully he is in a richer vein of form here.

Delgado in three for me.  I just worry about the weather.  I just heard that it will be a 100 in DC in the morning, but that is not all.  It is so humid in DC. You can play okay when it is a 100 in LA with the dry heat, but unless you get used to it the humidity kills you, you feel like doing nothing and all energy is sapped.  Delgado is used to that heat, Andy would have needed to be active in it for three or four weeks.

Coming back after time off, playing a South American in crazy humid heat, it might be too tough.  We are having a crazy, hot Summer here, but I am known to be wrong.

I here what you say Doug but I think Andy has been around a bit know and played in searing heat etc all over the US and elsewhere. You may be proved right but Delgado is no match for Andy even if he is not bang on form.....he also will be fresh...and will be trying to show his coach what he can do........so Im going for Andy in 2......

Delgado is no match for Andy, and also Delgado is having a horrible year, but I do fear anyone coming of an injury playing in those conditions.  There is a huge diff between playing in LA and DC.  90 in LA feels like 70, 80 in DC feels like 90.  I hope I am wrong, I normally am, but I hoped both Tim and Andy would have been draw against players based in Europe, a South American will love these conditions, esp someone from Paraguay.

Murray has served up two aces in his first service game, a good start one might say!

Unfortunately, Delgado has also served an ace.

Come on Andy, a nice quick match please. I can't stay on but will be hoping for a nice clean straight sets win. Lets start gaining some ranking points again!
