another break to baghdad. murray has a nice touch for the dropshot, bo doubt. but to play one on break point?? i'm no player, just an interested spectator, but i cant imagine thats a particularly good strategy.
What happened there, Andy started the first set brilliantly. His serve was firing and he was all over Bagdatis's serve then like turning off a light switch it all chaged. Bagdatis improved and Andy went back to spraying the ball everywhere. Andy may struggle to win the match from here but he must show some fighting qualities to at least take the 3rd set.
Andy has started off this set like he did the second but a bad linecall robbed him of the break. That can't be helped but Andy needs to maintain this level from now on.
One of the key stats in the match may be the win % on second serve. 65% for Bagdatis and just 43% for Andy. I think that shows that Bagdatis is doing what Roddick failed to do and attacking the second serve. Win % on first serve is about the same.
