RE: Wimby R3: Murray vs Roddick

Controversial point, Andy hit a winner, linesman called it out, the umpire overuled, but because Roddick got a racket on it (just) the point was replayed. Andy lost the plot for a couple of points and Roddick got another couple of bps.

Both bps saved with stuning winners, I don't know why Andy can't do that when he isn't facing bp. Good effort to turn that game round, despite everything Andy still hasn't been broken.

5-4

15-40 some great play from Murray. Two set points!!!

Andy had a chance to pass but hit the net

Second serve, rally, Andy played a shot from the floor, finally another passing shot missed. Maybe Andy shouldn't be trying so hard to hit the winner.

Deuce. Andy does right thing hitting the pass nearer Roddick and the reply lands in the net

Ad Andy. Good rally from Andy and he finishes it with a clean winner.

7-6 6-4

So Andy is just where he was this time last year. 3rd round of Wimbledon two sets to luv up. However, I think he looks just the same as when he stepped on court.

Some lovely winners in the game, Roddick is visibly angry.

This thread has turned into a real monolouge (sp) has no one else got anything to say?

0-30 some great winners from Andy and the Roddick serve is not the force it was, more often than not Andy is getting it back.

As I typed that Roddick hit some good ones and he holds to 30

1-1

Andy is almost toying with Roddick at times, now is the time to twist the knife Andy, don't give him hope.

Andy earned a break point with another fine lob. He has really found his range with those. But Roddick saved it with another ace, how does he keep doing that?

More strong serves closed out the game.

3-2 Roddick breaks.

That shouldn't have happened. Andy was playing great but a couple of loose shots gave Roddick an opening and Andy couldn't quite save bp 12

15-40 good play and a double fault give Andy two bbps

No ace that time although some of the crowd cheered when they thought it was, they didn't sound American either.

Andy returned the second serve deep and Roddick missed.

 3-3

4-3 Murray

More fine winners in that game, especially a heavily disgised (sp) fh that land a couple of feet from Roddick but he was no where near reaching it.

Roddick is sweating like crazy and Andy looks to be in fine condition. Strange but true.

I guess it helps when you are hitting winners from anywhere.

More fine winners from Andy and more aces from Roddick take the game to deuce. Andy got a bp but just couldn't convert.

Roddick doesn't know where to go, wherever he is the ball isn't. I have never seen Andy play at such a consistently awesomely high standard.

First point. Andy, the supposed unfit one chased a fh almost into the stand, turned and ran down Roddick's reply into the open court, he won the point with a smash.

More winners from Andy, match point 30-40, fine play by Roddick, big serve - big fh.

Again big serve - big fh. Ad Rod.

Roddick missed. For the first time Andy looked a little tired in that point. Deuce.

Roddick missed a fh down the line. Ad Murray. MP2

Andy returned with a kind of drop shot and Roddick hit it long!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Andy looked pretty emotional at the end of that one. He suddenly looked drained at the end of that game, I think it all hit him that he was about to win.

5 strait sets aggainst Roddick.

Andy is signing everyones autograph, litterally. He is building bridges with the English public one by one and he will be ready for an interview in due course. Finally someone called Owen dragged him away.

Andy is 'disapointed' that England got beat on penaltys. I wonder if that will take some of the bile of his website. It really should because I can't see how anyone could critise a British performance like that.
