Controversial point, Andy hit a winner, linesman called it out, the umpire overuled, but because Roddick got a racket on it (just) the point was replayed. Andy lost the plot for a couple of points and Roddick got another couple of bps.
Both bps saved with stuning winners, I don't know why Andy can't do that when he isn't facing bp. Good effort to turn that game round, despite everything Andy still hasn't been broken.
So Andy is just where he was this time last year. 3rd round of Wimbledon two sets to luv up. However, I think he looks just the same as when he stepped on court.
Some lovely winners in the game, Roddick is visibly angry.
Andy earned a break point with another fine lob. He has really found his range with those. But Roddick saved it with another ace, how does he keep doing that?
First point. Andy, the supposed unfit one chased a fh almost into the stand, turned and ran down Roddick's reply into the open court, he won the point with a smash.
More winners from Andy, match point 30-40, fine play by Roddick, big serve - big fh.
Again big serve - big fh. Ad Rod.
Roddick missed. For the first time Andy looked a little tired in that point. Deuce.
Roddick missed a fh down the line. Ad Murray. MP2
Andy returned with a kind of drop shot and Roddick hit it long!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Andy looked pretty emotional at the end of that one. He suddenly looked drained at the end of that game, I think it all hit him that he was about to win.
5 strait sets aggainst Roddick.
Andy is signing everyones autograph, litterally. He is building bridges with the English public one by one and he will be ready for an interview in due course. Finally someone called Owen dragged him away.
Andy is 'disapointed' that England got beat on penaltys. I wonder if that will take some of the bile of his website. It really should because I can't see how anyone could critise a British performance like that.
