RE: Murray v Mirni : ATP Nottingham MD2

Watched the 1st set, and looked relaxed out on the court and played a great TB!! a great win for murray. hes going to play seppi next, wasnt he the one who reached the final at sydney?

after this performance, esp. the serve he'll probably get to the final at least but it depends  if hes in gasquet's half?

Very nice match by Andy - he served well for the most part and had some really nice shots mixed in there as well.

It was great seeing him look like he was enjoying himself on court for a wee change as well. He's looked that down on himself recently to see him smiling was pretty encouraging for the next few weeks.

back to deuce, running passing shot ad Murray (bp :biggrin)deuce 3 ad Mirnyi (good serve)ace to take the game. 4-4 Would you believe, Andy's first serve percentage (79%) is better than the big serving Belarussian (75%)!

Great play from Andy..easy win in the end...as my prediction....!

After the first 3 games i was worried but when Andy got into the range and started holding comfortably he was able to exert pressure on Miryni. When Miryni was getting passed alot at the net he stayed back and then as a result couldn't compete with Murray's groundstrokes which was evedent in the tie-break.

Seppi up next, i don't know to much about him except he is Italian. Anyone know what he is like on grass?

7 out of the top 8 seeds are out and Schripan is the only seed left and if he played like he did at Queens he should take the title but a rematch against Andy would be a great match.

That takes up to joint 41st with Xavier Malisse! (at least until the end of the Santoro match, that is!)

Next step, back to British number 1??

When I left the house Andy was 0-3 down. . .

Depressed afternoon.

Came home to see the result

Another good win for Andy. Mirnyi is the type of player he should be able to beat but after his recent form it is a very pleasing win. With the draw opening up he has a great chance to go all the way.
