31 - again now I've seen the draws I'm not the most optimistic this year but of course hope I'm wrong!

Thank you Jones and good luck

PS when voting, did you click the button at the top of the poll for 39 and then submit? It adds to the tally and lets you see the other votes, but doesnt seem to have changed the vote as far as I can tell? Unless maybe you were the person I had down as anonymous!

right, me done, over and out!

I see we have an anonymous vote for 38; just a reminder, if you can let us know what you vote, it does help to allow us to track a winner. Not obligatory of course, but probably also a little more fun?!

That was me biggrin  Red pen reminded me of school and anonymous is fun wink

Went with 29. Not overly optimistic this year.

I'll go for 33

And I was going to keep it anonymous - I'm with Elegant Point - it's the rebellious side

BUT Jon saved my life by posting about the District line so he's in my good books - hence, all transparency - 33 it is

My company is called Blue Pencil, from the red pen and blue pencil doctrine in contracts etc . Haha

based on this - blue pencil represented what I wanted to try and represent to my clients ,

productive as opposed to destructive

Red Pencil vs. Blue Pencil
Understanding the red pencil rule usually involves contrasting it with other common judicial responses to defective contracts : [12]
  • Red Pencil Doctrine: The court voids the entire clause. The judge cannot modify or fix the wording to make it legal. [123]
  • Blue Pencil Doctrine: The court crosses out ("strikes") only the offending words, leaving the rest of the contract intact and enforceable.
