Hi everyone. We're new to tennis and my daughter (aged 4) needs a racket. We've found a racket for her age etc, but we have to choose the grip size before ordering. The grip sizes to choose between are 05 and 06! Now, as far as I have found out on Google junior grip sizes range from 000 to 0, not 05 or 06, and I cannot figure out how to find out!.Whatever and wherever I google it just comes up with the same answers... Anyone more clued up on here that can help? It's for the HEAD Extreme 21 Junior Tennis Racquet (see screenshot). Thanks in advance!
This is not about that though is it. Online guides for children's grip sizes are 000 to 0. These Head rackets are sized 05 and 06. How can I measure for that when all the measuring guides are for 000 to 0? Does anyone know?
Then I'd go for the slightly smaller grip if your daughter is on the smaller side, (or has only just turned 4 and is 'average') and the slightly bigger one if she's big for her age, or about to turn 5
And, honestly, it won't matter much - there are way more important things - I wouldn't overthink it
My daughter is 4 years and 2 months, but she is tall and has large hands (as far as I can tell) - her dad has enormous hands and I think she might have inherited his - but without a measuring guide it's hard to tell. Maybe I will order the larger size then, but I don't want her to be uncomfortable either.
