In terms of predictors, these are the predictors who got it right, and ended tied as our winners:

Arthur Fery Tanaqui, Indiana, and Christine
Jake Fearnley Brendan F, Danny1312
Henry Searle No one

Congrats to all 5 of those who predicted the correct player. I dont think anyone got both mens and womens top player.

And thats it. Im afraid this little game, at least with me doing it, is now laid to rest - its quite a lot of work for me and the pros for me are outweighed by the cons. Always happy if someone else fancies doing it next year, please feel free to go ahead.

Hope folks enjoyed it the past few years Ive run it. See you on other parts of the forum going forwards!

Thankyou so much JonH, really appreciate your efforts. Congrats to the three tied winners also. Interesting to see how they push on  now, because with tennis being so much a mental game, with that many wins under their belts they must have learnt a thing or two about the more subtle aspect's of success on the court for them as individuals.

Thanks JonH. Without this competition I wouldnt have realised quite how many grass court wins there have been this year. I knew Id made a silly choice as soon as I pressed the button but Ill miss not doing it again. Dont think I could commit to being consistently around to take on the job of running it though so appreciate your time in doing so. Always a bit of fun.

Thanks Julia and Goldfish - appreciated. The thing is, to do it properly requires a daily or regular update of results for 6 weeks or so and thats what I find hard . I could set up the vote and just let it run and see where we are at the end but that doesnt feel like much fun. Hence, Id rather not do it, but happy if someone else picks it up as a thing next season.

I rarely vote in these prediction competitions as I don't have enough of the bigger picture, but had such faith in Arthur progressing I dipped my toe in the water!
Thanks Jon, it won't be a big gap in my life, but keep going with the Player of the Month please x

thanks Christine -  no need to worry, player of the month and player of the season are very safe  not going anywhere! Nor is the slam wins prediction contest.

it is just this / to do it how I want to do it requires me to put a daily effort in that I cant sustain and I dont want to do something that isnt how I prefer to do it.

So dont worry, PoM/ PoS is safe!
