And loses quite easily, 6-2 6-3

So finishes 4th

Jeline Vandromme wins the title, after a huge fight - 4-6 7-6(5) 7-5

Jeline is 2007-born though, although a late 2007 - born Nov. 2007

But still a lot older than Penickova (born Sept 2009), or indeed Hannah (born Feb 2009)

A 1 win, 4 loss record doesnt really feel like a 4th place finish, whatever the actual position! Nonetheless, good to be there and presumably she will continue to play junior slam events, at least, in 2026?

I think Hannah will transition to seniors. She has finished her GCSE exams, i think and will get quite a few JE, so should appear in a few high level overseas events

Do you not think that trying to win one of the slams would be a priority as well, this year? Maybe no other junior events, but those at least?

I think she will play junior Wimbledon and try and get the ranking up, fto try and play slam qualifiers

She also expressed a desire to play the Junior French Open - I think she likes playing on clay.

So I would not be surprised if she plays all the slams next year.  Possibly also the Orange Bowl this year - as CD mentioned she is probably working on her serve and forehand and tournaments are a good way to put the training into practice...

But the senior ranking has to be a priority - she has only 9 or 10 counting tournaments at the moment so will have scope for much more activity, especially with bonuses for finishing top 5 in the world.

Interesting the potentially different path to Mika who is probably full time seniors now.

I read she was going to do a two-month training block at one of the foreign academies soon - but don't know which surface - last time she did clay

It would be a little weird to do clay again now, though - given the hard court season will be with us - either Australia or UK or whatever

All the kids like Australia - but it doesn't make much sense to go just for that so, assuming she doesn't want to do the other junior events there, she'd have to add in some of the adult ITF events, which would make sense

Like you, I think Roland Garros is the most likely extra junior GS (after Wimbly)

As per her thread, her interview a couple of days back says she's going to be concentrating on her adult ranking, with GS adult qualis, and then GS main draw, as her goals for the next two years
