But Allegra unfortunately does not play a very smart game of tennis - she doesn't seem to sense the game that well (quite a few don't to be fair)
In the TB, in her crosscourt rallies, you could see the tall dark girl at the net inching over with each shot and then, on about the 4th crosscourt shot, she'd intercept easily, sometimes off the frame but it didn't matter, she only had to get her racket on it
Now, for that to happen once is one thing
But it happened in at least three points, and every time Allegra got caught out - never once tried down the line, or a lob, or a sliced crosscourt that kept lower, just the classic crosscourt shot with a bit of air, just waiting for the other girl to make her move.
I've no idea who their coach was, but you'd think he/she could have shouted something out to her
In the end, Allegra and Luna lost the MTB reasonably easily
Is there a time when we get concerned about Mika Stojsavljevics results? Or still way too early?
She has hardly played any junior tournaments. Has been focussing on seniors. Hasnt made much inroad yet but it takes time. She maybe doesnt have much appetite for juniors anymore? However she is a year younger than Mimi so still plenty of time to progress. I think the feeling on here was for Mika it may take a bit longer to transition, but she has great potential. She did well getting through to quarters in the W35 Nottingham in May. Its a journey.

Just 2 pairs through round 1 successfully. Tomorrow Hannah is second on court 12, returning for doubles on the same court later. Mimi is second on court 18 followed by Ruby. Note also the other match in the bottom half of the draw - Julieta Pareja v Elizara Yaneva. This is a repeat of the Roehampton final, won by Pareja, and 7 of the last 12 Roehampton winners have gone on to lift the Wimbledon trophy (in contrast to the low level of success for the boys winners)

Just my feeling: I completely buy off on the fact in the last few months that: (a) Mika has been mainly focused on exams, and (b) she's not great on grass, and useless on clay (so not worth playing)
BUT in the next few months, we're now on hard (her surface) and exams are finished
So, I'm not at all concerned about her results (adults or juniors) at the moment
But I expect to see something a bit more promising over the next few months
If we haven't seen more than an odd win here or there by a Xmas, at the latest, I'd be concerned (not 'OMG, the world is ending' concerned, she's still young, but definitely a bit concerned)
