Watched the first set. Hannah hanging on in there and has kept it as close as she can - but the Austrian has far more firepower at her disposal. Simon Reid said shes 6 foot tall - but she also moves well, has a powerful serve and groundstrokes. To date she hasnt dropped a set in the tournament and beat Lois Boisson a few weeks ago to take a 35K title. So Hannah is up against it and just lost the first set, but lets see if she can make it tough
Well 8 games in a row 2-6 0-6, and TBH the Austrian was on a completely different level. Fantastic for Hannah to reach the final - she didnt play her best today I suspect, but Tagger was simply far too good. One to look out for
Was shocked when I checked in on Hannah's score but having read the comments about Tagger's physicality and having recently beaten Lois B I'm getting a better perspective. Well done Hannah for a great tournament

Considering the year Hannah has had, compared to her previous performances, IMO this is an absolute result. So much more to come. Well done Hannah, looking forward to her progress on grass.
Well done to Hannah on a great tournament ( who a few months ago would have expected a French Open final? ) and sometimes you just have to say "Too good!"
Be very interesting to watch both girls' continuing development.
The first set was high quality from both. Quite a few games could have gone either way, but Tagger was the better player on the day with great defence and both forehand and backhand firing well.
Both girls are ones to follow.
Shame about the ending but congratulations to Hannah on a big step up this week, after 1st or 2nd round losses in her previous 5 slams. Hopefully she can get back to a slam final in the next year and claim the title.

She's sort of implied that this is her las year in juniors
And in her acceptance speech she said she hoped to be back in seniors
My guess/hope is that we'll see her in Junior Wimbly in 2026 but not the other slams, certainly not RG and the US Open i.e. the ones later in the year where she's now 17

Yes I was thinking that Wimbledon or the US Open this year would be the best bets, and certainly Wimbledon 2026 should be her last slam (if she hasn't won one by then), given how long she has been playing junior slams. Thanks for the confirmation about her likely focus.
PS I should have said second or third round losses in her last 5 slams, not first or second.
