There's a domestic J30 this week so it's always interesting in terms of the younger players and less-wellknown ones

The first round of qualis played yesterday

Ashley Ward beat a quali seeded player, and 13 year-old Papaya Douvall got her first win

BOYS

Jan Janda (wc) (age 14) made the most of his lucky break over the 1st seed, and won his R2 match

Into the QF and this week will see the first ITF points for him

Isaac Forde also beat the Spanish qualifier who beat Ollie Knight, Meg's brother

Wins too for Jesse Clarkson and Oliver Page - other results to come

The 13 year-old daughter of 'infamous' Alicia Douvall went one step better today, making the QF

As did 13 year-old Tanishka, beating the 3rd seed


The QFs are:

The boys are all 17 or 18 years old, so not tiddlers

Well done to them for seeing off all pesky competition

Well done to Tanishka, she's doing very well for someone so young

Papaya Douvall only lost by a whisker to Daisy too
