The under 14 finals start tomorrow and the girls have a tough draw against Turkiye, who are the strongest of the 4 unseeded nations, possessing 2 top 20 players (they lost out in qualifying to top seeds Ukraine, who have 2 top 6 players.

Have we kept the same team of Daniela, Edie and Annabel?

Id forgotten the under 12 boys actually lost in qualification, got back in as host nation and went on to win it. Good effort and showed they learnt as the event progressed

They are still the nominated trio for the under 16 finals which start tomorrow - no draw available yet

The under 14 girls came through a close encounter with Turkiye to join the three other seeded nations, who all won comfortably. They play Czechia in the semis

Grace Watson lost to Samiye Idil Ozkeresteci 2-6 1-6
Liv Zingg d. Zeliha Nil Cukurluoglu 6-2 6-2

The under 14 girls clearly battled against the hosts and second seeds, but just failed to win one of the singles. They will therefore play-off tomorrow for bronze. Czechia go on to face top seeds Ukraine

U14 Girls SF

(3) GBR 0 (2) Czechia 2

Milica Sakamoto Milojevic lost to Eva Halfarova 6-4 6-7(0) 5-7
Liv Zingg lost to Sofie Mottlova 3-6 6-7(9)

3rd-4th play-off

(4) Slovakia v (3) GBR

The under 16 girls were unlucky with the draw. Like the under 14s they were pitted against ostensibly the strongest unseeded nation, who included the highest ranked ITF player in the finals (Anna Pircher, who caused our under 14 team a lot of problems last year). Two narrow defeats in the singles mean they will be playing for the minor places

U16 Girls QF

Austria 2 (3) GBR 1

Lea Haider-Maurer beat Edie Griffiths 7-5 7-5
Anna Pircher beat Daniella Britton 6-3 4-6 7-6(2)
Haider-Maurer/Pircher lost to Griffiths/Wong 5-4(6) 4-5(4) [8-10]

Laura Masarykova lost to Liv Zingg 4-6 3-6

Singles wins for Annabel and Edie led the under 16 girls to a 2-1 win over Czechia, and therefore they finish 5th
