My search function doesn't seem to work any longer but I don't remember having one - go ahead ! (If there is another one somewhere, a mod can merge it)

My Search Button does not work now either

I saw a bit of Oli Bonding's match up towards the end of the second set and I didn't see an obvious injury.
Oli was just making a lot of unforced errors.

I watched Brooke's match, as well as Hannah's

Brooke's opponent has a major MTO for heat problems - at 4-3 in the first set, which seemed a little strange

Doctors and everything.

But, of course, it was very hot - and one of the ball kids passed out on another court

Brooke did very well though not to be thrown by it - she was 4-3 up and then lost the next 3 games after the MTO - BUT then held strong in the second, didn't get upset, or feel cheated or whatever, and made life tough for the other girl who hit a heavier ball than Brooke but didn't move that well and the heat was sapping her energy for micro-footwork which showed in her shot making.

Very cool headed, I thought

If Brooke and Mimi and Hannah/Emerson Jones win their next doubles matches, theyd play in the last 8. That would be interesting. Mimi and Emerson are also possible singles qf opponents

And the 5th seed she might have played next retired leaving her with an unseeded opponent in the last 16

Yes, although Tagger is a very good up-and-coming player
One of the very very few with a one-handed backhand
As good as most of the seeded players

Cool and good to hear one of the girls with a single hander - I dont follow at all closely, but would struggle to name a womens player with a single hander let alone a junior.

Justine Henin, that was an absolutely beautiful back hand! Miss that.

Not all the time, seen quite a few throw in a backhand slice. Especially Mimi. Theres a still on her Insta feed from last September but I couldnt copy it across.

Diane Parry is probably the best ranked one-handed backhand player that I can think of (about WR 60 ?)

And Golubic plays one too

Oh, and the really chippy choppy German player, Maria (but that's not quite like the others who play proper top-spin one handers)

(I think all the players have a one-handed slice - some use it more than others but they all play them in every match)
