it must be quite rare to have 3 daughters between 13 and 18 all competitive in the same sport, unless there are twins or triplets.

I can't comment on the specifics of daughters in the 13 to 18 age range, but in terms of tennis more widely, there were the famous brothers from India, the Amritraj brothers

Vijay (reached 4 slam singles quarters, the WCT Finals semis, Davis Cup finals twice) , Anand (not as successful but reached a US Open 3rd round and won a good number of doubles titles on the Grand Prix Tour), and Ashok (played on the Grand Prix tour before going into movies as a producer).

To add to their family dynasty, Prakash (Vijay's son) played in the US Open singles and reached the doubles 3rd round in the US Open, with a career high singles ranking of 154. Anand had a son, Stephen, who played ITF's and was a high level college player at Duke, and there is also another son of Vijay called Vikram who played tennis before becoming a laywer.

Anyway, can't comment more on our 3 girls and others but the Amritraj family are possibly the top of the tree when it comes to siblings all achieving success in their chosen sport of tennis!

However, in womens tennis, probably the Maleeva family is the tops (Manuela - WR 3, US Open semis, French Open juniors; Magdalena - WR 4, US Open QF, Won AO, FO and USO juniors; Katerina - WR 6 and reached all 4 slams QF's in her career), from Bulgaria.

In fact, the Maleeva's probably top the Amritraj family, just!!

 Yes, I agree

Probably not that common to have three daughters, period

And then add to that, three daughters within a 5 year age gap

AND then add to that, three daughters all doing very well in the same sport

The only family that come to mind are the Askew (Beth plays under Grey now), but they were two sisters and a brother and I've no idea on the age gaps.

Recalling the Bulgarian Maleeva sisters - Manuela, Katerina and Magdalena - all ranked in the Worlds Top 10 at some stage! Hopefully the Korpanec Davies sisters can match that feat :o)

Yeah, mentioned those higher up the thread - I think it was Manuela ended up becoming Swiss; it was their Mum who coached them all?

In mens, the Amritraj brothers (3 of them) probably are cream of the crop in tennis.
