Only three of us have an overall negative vibe going on? Only three ?

Well our top 10 average fell over 300 during 2024 and ended on a low point for the year ( admittedly pretty much covered by Andy going from WR 42 to UNR and replaced by a player in the 300s ).

Still, let's be having a turn back up to better days!

Just trying to understand this - you can't mean average ranking when most of the top ten are ranked higher than 300. You mean total combined rankings of the top ten?

A few big changes as some big movements for one or two in the men's rankings.

Update prior to Indian Wells - I don't think Doha will make a lot of difference at this stage in the season

Indeed, LOL !!

Your starting score was 34, ie. one of the furthest from the start of year rankings. It is not suddenly going to be up anywhere near the higher starting scores after 2 months.

It's the end of year that matters. Though yes, maybe get a wee shift on in the coming months.

past evidence suggests my whole year starts full of promise (ie a wildly out of kilter prediction) and then British tennis lets me down in abundance and the early days promise extends for a full 12 months !biggrin

Well JonH, you were predicting a rise of over 500 places over the strongest nation total at the time of around 1700. Hope you are right !

This is hard, I've narrowed my top 10 to 17....

1. Jack Draper 17
2. Cam Norrie 34
3. Dan Evans 67
4. Jacob Fearnley 125
5. Johannus Monday 144
6. Billy Harris 154
7. Paul Jubb 160
8. Jan Choinski 174
9. Ryan Peniston 199
10. Jack Pinnington Jones 220

Sub Kyle Edmund 160

Looks like I have taken a punt on the likes of Jomo, JPJ, Penno and Dan Evans picking up points later in the season.

I'm not holding my breath....
