And eventually lose it 6-4, thats a shame.

So just Charlie and Hannah left in singles.

Oli and Viktor in doubles, with Hannah still to play.

Yes, such a shame for Allegra, but - as you say - very good to get that close

Goodness me, that was exhausting just watching the live scores!!! Glad Hannah got there in the end.

Hannah has shown a lot of resilience this week to eventually prevail against lower ranked opponents. Next she is in the unusual position of playing someone higher ranked despite the seeding (Hannah having lost her Orange Bowl points from 2023) who is younger than her. Jana won 5 consecutive J100-J300 events in the summer, following a year of dominating the Tennis Europe rankings

Girls QF

(7) Jana Kovackova (CZE) v (4) Hannah Klugman

Girls Doubles QF

(1) Klugman/Kostovic (GBR/SRB) v Dilek/Zeltina (TUR/LAT)

I don't think Hannah has ever lost to a younger player, in ITFs (maybe not even in TE either)

So this might be the time to light those super charge boosters, Hannah, and show young Jana you're still boss

On the other side, I think this means that Mika will finish 5th now, as Kostovic and Sonobe lost

If so, that will have a big impact on the number of events she can play next year, and the wildcards to W75 etc

Yes, good luck to Hannah but looks a tough one. I'm thinking that record of not losing to a younger opponent is more than likely to go but hopefully not.

Whatever, she herself is of course still just 15 and very much still developing. I have read a few worries about her progress this year but so much that we will be unaware of and so much time on her side. She continues to be a great prospect and here's to 2025 and continuing that development in a positive way with hopefully one or two highs.
