By my calculation Charlie's win today will take him above Jan Kumstat into a career high 8th place, nearly 300 points above 11th - which is good for his chances of claiming better junior accelerator spots next year. Mika should move up 1 spot to 7
So all 4 players do have a 1-1 record and Charlie plays Mrva in a winner takes all match. Charlie and Mrva have the best sets records at 3-2 and, from my maths, whoever wins will top the group, regardless of score line.
So both Brits have 1 all records and face winner take all final round robin matches for a semi place.
FWIW, will H2H not apply to determine the winner in Charlie's group? If so, the winner of Charlie's match would only top the group if the other winner is the player they beat earlier.
ah, yeah, probably - the ITF site doesnt seem to show the tie break rules but I guess that is what typically works in other similar events, so fair call - I guess the main thing will be getting a win and just getting through to the semis, for both Charlie and Mika. Let the semis look after themselves.
