Yet another Czech I've never heard of, who only squeaked through the first round.

I didn't see any of the match so can't comment, but I think Hannah will be disappointed by a solitary third round appearance at Junior Slams in 2024.

Mimi is unable to control her forehand which either sends the ball into the net or well wide.
She drops the first set 4-6

Hannah beat Tereza narrowly (6-4 in the third) on clay during the recent successful European Summer Cup campaign.  I agree that Hannah's grand slam record so far has been underwhelming for someone of her talent.

Meanwhile Charlie has just sneaked the first set of his match 7-6(7)

Dont know who the female commentator was on Charlies match but she insisted on referring to him as Charlie Robinson throughout the whole match.

Unfortunately I don't have a Sky or Now TV subscription, so cannot enlighten you about who it was - but commentators on junior grand slam matches with poor knowledge of the players is not uncommon unfortunately

Whew! Mimi takes the second set 7-5 after both players had chances for it.

Yesterday Mimi ran away with the third set 6-1. Hope she does something similar today.

Mimi is making loads of unforced errors. McNeil has bandages round her knee and had a match timeout at 3-4* in set 2. She broke back but appears to me to be limping slightly. Mimi really should win if she moves her around more and cuts out her own errors. Definitely very hit and miss.
