First time I have properly watched Mika play - very impressive. (Seen the other two and Isa play live). Let's hope Mimi can join her in the final.

Mika had a time violation against her

And then a second one in the third set and she chucked away the ball as she now had no first serve, just a second - and prompty served a second serve winner

Pity, Mimi didn't make it.
And Hannah+ are one set all with a strange scoreline.

Hannah wasn't great but Joy had an utter nightmare in that MTB, and the latter part of the match

And Stusek should get all the credit for 'fessing up to a touch ball, and letting Hannah+ have the point, when the umpire had not seen it and called it wrong (and Hannah had gone ballistic )

Mimi lost 4 and 4.Well done to Mimi, putting up a great fight this week, despite having her leg and feet taped. Read on a US site how she was making good use of the medical term at FM.

Mika is just the second British girl (after Heather Watson) to reach the final here, and she plays Wakana Sonobe, who she beat at the US Open narrowly last year (and at Wimbledon)

Girls SF

Mika Stojsavljevic d. (WC/3) Iva Jovic (USA) 6-0 3-6 6-3
(7) Wakana Sonobe (JPN) d. (8) Mimi Xu 6-4 6-4

Doubles SF

Pastikova/Stusek (CZE/GER) d. (7) De Zeeuw/Klugman (NED/GBR) 1-6 6-0 [10-5]

Boys SF

(1) Nicolai Budkov Kjaer (NOR) d. Charlie Robertson 6-3 6-3

By my reckoning Mimi moves up to JWR 8, Mika moves up to JWR 11 ahead of Hannah who falls to JWR 13.

Mika would take the JWR 8 ahead of Mimi if she wins tomorrow.

Any idea where they might sit in the race to the junior tour finals with these results?

These are the rankings for qualification. Top 7 qualify - the 8th place is reserved for a Chinese girl - so they'll need someone ahead of them to decide not to take up their place to make it to the junior tour finals.

Ah ok, didnt realise they were the same lists, the itf shows two different lists which seem slightly different; maybe they come together after the us Open?

They differ at the minute as the race rankings are the points accumulated since September 11 last year. The actual rankings for next week will cover the same period.

Got you - a bit like the main atp tour lists, just different time periods.
