Thats was a tough work out for M and M. Two wins out of three is very good but those two will be disappointed to lose the doubles. Maybe Mrs S and Mrs X werent there to cheer them, on!
Anyway, Mimis tenacity is coming to the fore now. Always thought Mika had buckets of potential.Well done to Charlie S well and good luck in the semis! And Jack.

I hope M&M haven't tired themselves out for today's semifinals.

Mika does not look tired. She is up 5-0 in the first set.

Go Mika! Maybe Iva has run out of steam after her Adrenalin busting first round win in the main draw. Takes it out of young players.

Is Mika going to top Mimi and Hannah in years to come then!

Got to say I always thought Mika was the GS winner. Mimi will win doubles slams definitely but I think Hannah needs more time. Having said that healthy competition is brilliant for the British womens game moving forward. We should have an ace BHK cup team!

Nah, Iva was playing her normal, lovely timed tennis in the first set (well, for most of it, until she got a little rattled). It was just Mika was playing like a demon

Now missing more of her first serves, giving Iva a chance to step in a bit, and it's a lot closer - which has then made Mika tense up

And Mika wins in 3, 6-0, 3-6, 6-3. Could we have an all British final?????

Don't care about the all-Brit part yet - just OMG in spades !!!!

I didn't think Mika would manage that third set - but she was majestic - poor Iva didn't know what had hit her

Mika had a time violation against her

And then a second one in the third set and she chucked away the ball as she now had no first serve, just a second - and prompty served a second serve winner

Not such good news for Charlie going down in two sets, 6-3,6-3. However an excellent run for Charlie and plenty to build on.
