The draw should be out any time, but as this is my last opportunity tonight to set up the thread I am doing so now, hoping that someone else will add the draw when out.
The main news concerns injuries - we hope that Mimi Xu's retirement in Canada will not prevent her taking part. Unfortunately Ben Gusic Wan, who gave a walkover in Canada, is a late withdrawal.
That leaves Oliver Bonding, Charlie Robertson, Viktor Frydrych, Hannah Klugman, Mika Stoksavljevic and hopefully Mimi Xu as the British contingent here.
Today Mika is first on court 13 (4pm BST) against a girl who is a frequent opponent of the top Brits. Viktor is third on court 9 - a tough assignment against one of the highest ranked ATP players in the draw, while Oli's battle with the 5th seed is 4th on 15. As usual players involved in the later stages of Repentigny are scheduled to play round 1 matches on Monday
Mika does well to respond to losing an epic 80 minute opening set by winning the next two comfortably and sets up a match against the 13th seed, whose ranking owes a lot to winning a J500 in Brazil
Girls R1
Mika Stojsavljevic d. Charo Esquiva Banuls (ESP) 6-7(5) 6-2 6-2

Mika Stojsavljevic v (13) Kaitlyn Rolls (USA)
I think that's a good draw for Mika. This is her opponent's first event since losing to Hep 61 62 at Junior Wimbledon.
Was looking at Kaitlyn's senior record and she has only played one event, a 60 60 win over 75 year old Gail Falkenberg, who has attracted much Twitter chat by continuing to play on the ITF tour.

I agree that's about as good as Mika could hope for in a round 2 against a seed. If she wins though she is likely to come up against top seed Emerson Jones in round 3, who she knows well so won't have any element of surprise. I didn't realise that Gail Falkenberg was still playing - 77 according to ITF, with just 1 game won in her last 12 matches
