You were only about half a match out, Indiana (so you did a lot better than the schedulers) - it's quarter past midnight now and the mixed doubles SF is about to start, with Neal's QF to follow. The matches on this court haven't even been that long. The schedulers must assume a couple of early in the match retirements on every court or something like that!

Instinct is we all hope 29 is the final tally, 27 though is the most likely it feels to me, 26 though would be in line with seedings and keep us equal to last years total.

How do you mean 26 "in line with seedings"? Rather less (21?) for wins from our seeds if they all reached precisely their seeded for stages, though then we could add in all the non seed vs non seed R1 match ups (were you looking at comparative rankings for an additional expectation from them?)

Sorry, I meant in line with seedings for the players who were left at the time I wrote it - ie just Jack and Neal and that they were both not expected to win anymore matches. Sorry, wasnt clear - yes, overall it looks like we surpassed our seeding expectations
Elegant Point is defending champion here but could soon be gone. Indiana is the only remaining slam winner this season, still lurking for a Wimbledon and Flushing Meadow double?!
