NB I like the 'parental suspensions' - I can think of a LOT of parents who I would suspend - so I can only imagine what these ones have been up to, in order to actually get suspended
It means shes withdrawn late from too many LTA events. After the withdrawal deadline you get penalty points for withdrawing. If you withdraw before 2pm the day before its 2 points, after 2pm its 3 points. its 5 for a no show without having withdrawn. Once you get to 10 points in a 12 Month rolling period there is a 2 week suspension from LTA events (doesnt affect TE or ITF) This is a 3 week suspension if theres been a previous suspension
Penalty points go on straight after the tournament in question has finished and you can appeal them within 48 hours for cases of injury
A lot of junior players get suspension points as they enter ITFs and TEs without knowing how long they will be in them so enter LTA tournaments later in the same week and often withdraw from them late

I can give you a few of examples of parental suspension i know about !
1. Poor sportsmanship (clapping loudly double faults, jeering opponent) and then being rude to the official
2. Verbal abuse to child after they lost and telling official to f off
3. Accusing opponent of deliberately hitting child with ball, causing disruption to match and arguing with club members (who complained))
4. Persistent on court coaching and refusing to leave
I know that 2 of them went to a disciplinary hearing before the ban was put in place. Assuming the others were but never heard the full details of those
11U girls are looking strong. Im going to predict a Sahara Baptiste and Emma Fu final (now watch how wrong I am!) I think Honey will be the one to challenge Emma and the winner of Coco/Chloe (cant call that one - both playing well) are both strong enough to challenge Sahara - especially if Sahara has a bad attitude on court again. Standard is very good at that age group and quite a few to watch out for.
Aran pushed Eric but the two favourites remain on course for the final.
U14 Boys QF
(1) Eric Lorimer d. Aran Selvaraasan 7-5 0-6 6-4
(4) Ruben Stanmore d. Samuel Mhizha 6-2 6-3
Rundong Kevin Huang d. (8) Edwin James Vopson 7-6(3) 1-6 7-5
(2) Scott Watson d. (7) Isaac Sallu 6-1 6-4
SF
(1) Eric Lorimer v (4) Ruben Stanmore
Rundong Kevin Huang v (2) Scott Watson
In the girls Sevil Parviz lost to eighth seed Leah Bush, who therefore takes on Rose's tip Annabel Wong in round 2. No problems for the top 2 seeds, who hand out bakery products.
I watched some of Megans match she looked very comfortable.
Huang I think had SW next to his name so think hes from South Wales. Any info on him?
Nice to see another Welsh player coming through.
Kevin trains at swansea
Been part of the LTA national pathway since 11U, often invited to NAGP weekends and has had some good results there. Plays for wales in country/regional events as well as all county cup events . Attends Welsh national training regularly and has won a few TE doubles. Plays at most national events. Havent seen him play much but the few times I have there was a lot to like. Good hitter and goid all round game. Wasnt the most consistent though but that might have changed

Any info on Cameron Rae? He reached the SF of a U12 category 1 and is doing well here so far. I have heard his name before but dont know much about him.

Just as a reminder, Eric made the final in the U14 last year
Losing to Niall P-Barua (who's not playing this time although he's still age eligible)
Scott made the semis last year (losing to Niall)
Aran Selvaraasan made the final of the U12s two years ago (also losing to Niall)

Scottish boy. LTA pathway and a tennis first grantee. Trains at Bath. Been competed nationally for a while and has won national events. Has represented GB. Highly thought of. Hits a good ball and reads the ball well. Can let his feelings get to him on occasions but has improved a lot . One to watch
Well I was very wrong about Annabel! Very surprised though as hard was one of her best surfaces prior to her injury. Cant help wondering if the softer, slower surface of clay is now better for her and kinder on her foot. Either way, a great couple of results from Leah - thats both Sevil and Annabel she has had to get past. Daniella will be breathing a sigh of relief I am sure as those 2 have, in the past, been two of her toughest opponents!
Firstly, and for no real reason, I saw a bit of the first set of Honey Robinson v Lainee Ngassam
Which was a pretty poor match, although they're very young, these players, but even for U11s....
And I saw Hermione Korpanec-Davies, on Rosie's nod, v Katie Randall
This was a very good match - although it's the U14s and you naturally expect a far higher technical level
Katie was the player with the best serve in girls I've seen this week - nice to see someone at this age actually have a serve that is a weapon. (Note - I've only been dipping into the 'other' girls' matches, not Megan, Dani etc - leave that for the latter stages). And she won, and deservedly so, playing good tennis
However, Katie is 2010, and Hermione is 2011, which is important to note. Hermione put out some decent tennis too, good fitness, well trained, but a little prone to slap the ball.
