I didn't see enough of the match to know quite WHY Gracie lost - I didn't see any emotional outbursts/moments (but could well have missed them). I certainly heard quite a lot of vocal support from her camp
But the actual tennis quality from both girls was very impressive
(Liv's match was very one-sided but, overall, her tennis doesn't do a lot for me, although she's a very decent player, of course. I watched a bit of Anna Wright's match and wasn't very impressed, to be honest. Didn't see any of Milica's)
Great job by the lads who put out the two Hunagarian top seeds (not without quite a bit of effort - a lot of stress - and a LOT of noise going on from both sides....)
Particular well done to Dash Green for being unseeded.
And Neo Armus, for telling his dad (?) to be quiet ()
Neo has great intent on the ball and sees the game well
It's sligtly strange that someone born in 2010 still has quite a lot of real technical issues....
Well done to Judy, to Milica, and indeed to Gracie Watson - I feel vindicated that that was the best match of the tournament
Such a shame it wasnt the final though - sounded like a great match!
Judys an interesting one. She was a very very good 10 and 11 year old. Always played up an age group and either beat Daniella or other good 2010 players or lost in 3rd set tiebreak. She was right up there and has represented GB. Not sure if she got injured but she seems to have struggled a bit for a while. Might be her size, she is small. Plays a great attacking game though and moves well. Think clay surfaces help her a lot at the moment as it takes the power off a lot of the much bigger and harder hitter girls. A lovely young girl and great to see her doing well again
Sophia is doing well at the moment and so is her younger sister Diana (2014 born but competing up a year regularly). West Hants seem to be producing some good players again which they havent done for a while. Danni is the obvious one but Iraja Nigam and the Florence sisters also seem to be doing well at a national/international level.
Derailing the thread a bit but I also saw another 2014 player compete recently. Isla Skeates. Mother is a tennis coach and Isla has a LOT of potential. Will be interesting to see how she progresses in the next 2-3 years but I wouldnt be surprised to see her in a summer/winter cup team in the next couple of years

Sorry to resurrect this thread but Isla has just won the 10U National tour (held at Nottingham) 6-0 6-0 in the final. Is looking very good. Add her to your watch lists
