Ah- TNNS was only showing me junior matches. As opposed to full OOP.

Am sure it's been covered on these boards, but hadn't realised that Brooke Black is the daughter of Wayne Black and Irina Selyutina

The boys doubles final has just finished, so Mimi/Mika should be on in about 15 minutes

Mimi & Mika were dreadfully close in that first set - they had a sniff of a chance near the end - but they ended up just losing it 7-5

Fine reactions from Mimi at the net enable them to convert a setpoint on the Grant serve to take the second 6-4

Ah disappointing. A double fault by Mimi to set up championship point which the Americans convert.

So close but Tyra Grant's net play just gave the Americans the edge

Doubles F

(2) Grant/Jovic (USA) d. (7) Stojsavljevic/Xu 7-5 4-6 [10-8]

In the singles final, which looked high quality from the bits i saw Renata Jamrichova followed Alina Korneeva in winning 2 slams in the same year, repeating her Aus Open win over Emerson Jones, this time 6-3 6-4

Shame for Mika and Mimi that they couldn't quite get the big points, but a great effort to reach the final and get so close.

Flora Johnson was chosen as the girl to represent girls' Wimbledon tennis to meet HRH Kate and Charlotte

What a thrill for her !

I assume it was because she was the girl who performed best in singles (along with Hep who was up in Nottingham, playing qualis)

Really pleased for Flora

Well done to both for getting to the final in their first time in a GS paired together.

Just to mention that Grant & Jovic will be playing together in the main draw of the US Open doubles smile

Iva Jovic (age 16) will also be in the main draw of the US Open for singles

Iva won the USTA U18 National Championships which gives a MD wildcard (unlike the UK one which gives a qualis one)

And Iva & Grant won the doubles, hence the MD dubs wildcard too

Thats amazing, what a reward! Iva Jovic has a lovely game and saw her at Roehampton juniors. Hopefully some of the Brit girls will get MD Wimbly WCs next year!
