Raducanu has looked miserable this entire match. Not sure what's up with her this week, but she doesn't seem herself.
She talked about some stuff she was dealing with overnight the previous night. And was proud of herself for having won and played hard in that situation. She says she is excited and enjoying her tennis again, not sure it looks like it though
QF: DART, Harriet (GBR) WC 105 (CH=84 2022) lost to FERNANDEZ, Leylah (CAN) 30 (CH=13 2022) 2-6 1-6
They met in Montreal in 2021 with Harriet winning 5 & 6(4)
QF: BOULTER, Katie (GBR) 32 (CH=27 2024) lost to PAOLINI, Jasmine (ITA) (3) 7 =CH 1-6 6-7(0)
The have played three times before with Katie winning two and Jasmine one.
QF: RADUCANU, Emma (GBR) WC 168 (CH=10) lost to KASATKINA, Daria ( ) (6) 14 (CH=8 2022) 2-6 2-6
They met in Ostrava in 2022 with Daria winning 5 & 4
That typo was almost correct. Fortunately Sonay prevented 'the 6' all losing.
That day was as brutal as the previous day was magnificent. And in the only non British match, Keys had a walkover over Muchova (on her return from injury too). Thank heavens it is a combined event.
I think Emma's match was more competitive than the score suggests but in the end it is all about converting the big points and Kasatkina did that much better than ER did.
I heard Annabelle Croft say that this was only Emma's 14th match on grass as a professional so I suppose we can fall back on the old excuse that she's inexperienced and that this is all part of a learning curve.
Off to see the WTA semis tomorrow. Was hoping to see one Brit, but happy to watch Paolini and Keys again, also Leylah who I havent seen before live. Think this will be our last time at Eastbourne, most probably will go for ground tickets and queue at Wimbledon in week 1 instead.

Good luck at Wimbledon, Emma.
It was her 20th match on grass as a pro. The trouble with the stats in the match notes provided to commentators is that they are for WTA main draws only.
