Slightly concerned about the amount of physical and emotional energy the girls are using up this week, but can't fault the fight and quality of the wins. Amazing.

These points at Eastbourne may be hard to replicate in a slam, so they are all playing a blinder! Wish they could inspire a certain national football team, which will remain nameless..

 Scotland?

I'm sure he did but I don't get it. They got through, top, into next round. It's like criticizing our tennis players for only winning in close three sets. Getting through is what counts!

Actually, across the board it is 10 wins out of 12 today (Jizel lost in Germany and Imogen in Monastir). I don't remember a day like it in the last two years since I have been keeping a spreadsheet of who is playing where.

I slightly agree but Harriet and Emma could draw Swiatek or Sabalenka or another top player and be knocked out in the first round even if they play spectacularly and they can get great points in Eastbourne in front of a supportive crowd.

Yeah, original article was with that headline and about Katie; they updated the article after Emma won and the headline in article but not the title of the story embedded in their website - so it looked like it was still about Katie but was about Emma and Katie etc

Editorial error

Well, they won one match so as it turned out were through before their last match anyway. I agree not exciting and few goals. But now it's knockout football which is different. If they lose next match then the criticism will be justified, but at the moment they've done the job needed for the group stage.

Re the football, didn't practically every nation get through? I didn't care about the group stages - all the ones and twos and most of the threes too - too many qualify to make it much of a big deal
More interesting maybe in the knock-out stages

And congrats to all the British women here - mega day :)

I didn't see any of the matches but I heard a lot of people saying the Emma's was SO stressful

Well done to them all !
