Week 26 - WTA500 - Eastbourne, Great Britain Grass

She deserved that but kept losing concentration (or maybe just panicked) when she got in front. So glad she got through it though! Well done Emma.

Well done Harriet, Katie and Emma!

Was a bit worried about Emma there, but no doubt now that she's beaten a top 10 player! And a fantastic battling win by Harriet (not my favourite player, but she does battle hard.)

Don't forget that Pegula won Berlin last week saving five match points in the final and doesn't know how to give up.

Slightly concerned about the amount of physical and emotional energy the girls are using up this week, but can't fault the fight and quality of the wins. Amazing.

Bloody brilliant form all 3

What a day!

Thought Emma has lost it from 5-2 to 5-5

Wins in the next round would put Katie at a CH and Harriet back at or very close to hers. Emma needs to make the final to get back in the top 100...

[Not tempting fate!]

Good to see that they have avoided playing each other in the QF!

These points at Eastbourne may be hard to replicate in a slam, so they are all playing a blinder! Wish they could inspire a certain national football team, which will remain nameless..

It was gritty. Emma's serve deserted her in set one and she had broken back twice and that set slipped away but she fought tooth and nail to turn the match around. Like Billy Ocean said when the going gets tough the tough get going. The Brit men's no 1 could do with some of this spirit when the chips are down.

Jack has been doing well at the moment which is why he is British no 1!

So having beaten Grand Slam champions today, Harriet and Katie face GS finalists tomorrow... must be easier, right? wink
