A four way battle here - excited to see where this ends up! With Jack not playing next week, the other three could get a run away from him.

And the mens doubles at the end of week 3 of 7 (possibly) is:

TOTAL Name
8 Julian Cash
4 Neal Skupski
3 Marcus Willis
2 Lloyd Glasspool
1 Aidan McHugh
1 Arthur Fery
1 Ben Jones
1 Charles Broom
1 Jack Pinnington-Jones
1 Joe Salisbury
1 Luke Johnson

Julian still a way ahead but Neal had a great week and closed the gap a little

Already looking forward to tonight's update, JonH. wink

Billy has seen off Jake. Tommy Paul to withdraw advancing Charlie Broom and then Billy to see him off as well ? It's not beyond the realms of possibility.

Well the first part did.  We will have to see if Billy can see of Charlie. smile

Billy is in qualies in Newport (and likely seeded) - Charlie, Ryan and Jake on the alts list for qualies (Jubb, JPJ further down)
He is definitely going for this title!

Oh - so battle is joined! We will be going to a seventh week of grass! Thats good - its the last Newport event ever as well, at Tour level at least, so nice one to take part in.

I was just about to post that if Billy wins against Charlie, that puts him 2 ahead and 3 ahead of Jack.  That would have meant that Charlie would have to reach the last 16 at Wimbledon or Jack would have to reach the QF (I don't rule out the latter) in order to overtake him.  Billy would have been strong favourite for this title even without winning another match.

Newport has thrown a spanner in the works.
