He is definitely going for this title!

Thing about Newport is a lot of players drop towards the end of Wimbledon and quite often the draw goes a long way down, below 200 on occasion for main draw, from memory. And qualies goes a lot lower. So all the Brits could stand a chance of getting in if they stick with it.

Oh - so battle is joined! We will be going to a seventh week of grass! Thats good - its the last Newport event ever as well, at Tour level at least, so nice one to take part in.

I was just about to post that if Billy wins against Charlie, that puts him 2 ahead and 3 ahead of Jack.  That would have meant that Charlie would have to reach the last 16 at Wimbledon or Jack would have to reach the QF (I don't rule out the latter) in order to overtake him.  Billy would have been strong favourite for this title even without winning another match.

Newport has thrown a spanner in the works.

Indeed! Good, like to see a battle! Paul Jubb could still be the dark horse here with a good week this week, however.

Yes indeed.  I hadn't seen he was sneaking up on the blind side by playing in Mallorca.

Yep, and he will be the main mover today based on today's win and the others involved in the schedule over the rest of the day

77 compares to 57 at the same point last season - last season at the end of Wimbledon play, we reached 63 wins - which if we strip out post Wimbledon ITF events and the fact we didnt have any winners at Newport, means we have already surpassed the total for the same scope of events from last year.

Shows a lot about how poor last year was and how much the group of players in the 200+ range have done such a good job this year!

Last year, Andy won with 10 wins overall, possible that several players are challenging to surpass that this year

Big days for Billy and Charlie and also Paul in this race for top spot - bigger prize than any other for them, I would say!

We really are cranking up the wins on grass this year. Been a rough year for the men in particular up to the grass court season but they sure are making up for it now. Billy and Paul racking up more wins today.

Indeed, Bob, and Day 25 of 50 (halfway date wise, more than half way tennis playing wise!) sees this new table - realistically it is just those on 7 wins or more, the top 5, who can win this now, I would say

7 Jake Fearnley
4 Henry Searle
4 Jack Pinnington-Jones
3 Aidan McHugh
3 Anton Matusevich

3 Giles Hussey
3 Stuart Parker
2 Ali Gray
2 Harry Wendelken
2 Kyle Edmund
1 Andy Murray
1 Arthur Fery
1 Ben Jones
1 Cam Norrie
1 Felix Gill
1 George Loffhagen
1 Jay Clarke
1 Mark Whitehouse
1 Ryan Peniston
1 Viktor Frydrych

79 wins in total

Doesn't Newport also count? Only checking as the day count has 24 days left... actually gives Billy a bigger shot given he's entered there to
