End of week 2 and the womens doubles are updated as below: Harriet got two wins this week and goes top of the table, Liv had a great week in the Netherlands and is part of a leading quartet
TOTAL Name
4 Harriet Dart
3 Beth Grey
3 Liv Nicholls
3 Tara Moore
1 Eden Silva
1 Emily Appleton
1 Heather Watson
1 Lily Miyazaki
1 Maia Lumsden
1 Naiktha Bains
1 Sam Murray-Sharan
Day 15 of 43, the end of week 2 and start of week 3 - Katie's great title in Nottingham alongside Naiktha knocking off another qualies win in Ilkley, put them both on the heals of Emily now. Millie also starting to mover up the list
TOTAL Name
6 Emily Appleton
5 Katie Boulter
5 Naiktha Bains
3 Amelia Rajecki
2 Emma Raducanu
2 Fran Jones
1 Ella McDonald
1 Harriet Dart
1 Heather Watson
1 Katy Dunne
1 Lauryn John-Baptiste
1 Ranah Stoiber
1 Sam Murray-Sharan
1 Sonay Kartal
Of the top 4, Emily is out this week already; Katie is seeded 4th in Birmingham and must fancy building on her title this week with a few more wins.
Millie in Birmingham and maybe a win is not beyond her in round one
Naiktha is in Ilkley FQR and surely fancies another win there. It feels like Emily's lead could be under threat with Katie or Naiktha taking over as the week progresses.
You don't think Naiktha will get a win or two or three in the WC play-offs?
Ah. Forgot she might be in those! yes- I recall last season they stopped when they reached the semis and all 4 left got wildcards , I think thats right - i guess something similar could always happen here.
Day 18 of 43 and a few wins today, with Ella and Ranah both moving onto 3 wins. It is a shame their respective grass journeys may end this week (assuming no wild cards into Eastbourne, although that may be a possibility?)

With the wild cards coming into action, each of Naiktha, Millie, as well as Ella and Ranah at Ilkley, could make inroads on Emily Appleton at the top of the table - quite possibly one of them (Naiktha in the strongest place) could get to the top of the table over the next few days

For comparison, the women had amassed 57 wins on this Wednesday last year, so a reasonable number behind - Katie had 8 and Harriet 7 last year, compared to 6 being the lead this season. 23 players had achieved wins, versus 16 this year.
My feeling is this season is going fine, but last season clearly was a very high watermark!
Womens doubles is over for week 3 of 6 - in theory, the halfway point, time wise, in reality a lot further along. Harriet and Liv lead the womens doubles lists; just Eastbourne and Wimbledon to come, unless someone plays in Germany next week?
