 Last year there were 5 qualifying events: 3 produced 4 qualifiers (ie all the finalists); the one in Brazil referred to by CD, an Asian event in Japan; and the LTA Grade 1 grass court championships (this year it is held from 28 May - 1 June in East Gloucestershire).  On top of that there are 2 events where the winner only qualifies - one took place at the start of the year in Australia, and the other is the Tennis Europe event in June (no idea why it has moved from Roehampton to Raynes Park)
