Boys: 2024 U16/U18 Junior National Championships, NTC, acrylic (Weeks 14/15)

The girls matches may have gone according to seeding, but there were some upsets in the boys, particularly with second seed Viktor Frydrych losing in a final set tiebreak to Ferran Redza. Members of last year's Junior Davis Cup squad, Mark Ceban and Zech Hamrouni, also ousted minor seeds Max Carrier and Alfie King

U18 QF

(1) Oliver Bonding v (5) Luke Hooper
(3) Benjamin Gusic Wan v (Q) Zechariah Hamrouni
Mark Ceban v (4) Charlie Robertson
(7) Charlie Swaine v Ferran Redza

Also should be a special mention for Louis Hull taking Oliver Bonding so close - only losing 4-6 in the Third set

Ferran also beat Charlie in February in the British Tour at Corby in a 12-10 MTB.

I reckon hes getting better and better - agree but he can do it. lower half feels like the easier half for Mark or Charlie to get through.

Ben in the other half?

I have no idea, just throwing names out there!

Oli B joins him and Charie R is close to beating Mark C easily. Ben G-W is also a set up on Zech.

In doubles, Rhys Lawlor is in the boys final as well as having won the under 16 doubles title last week. Mark Ceban is also in the doubles final.

Looks like the boys singles all went with seedings today. No surprises.
