Katie looked every inch the top 20 player and BHM the challenger. Well done Katie. No reason not to think she can take out Azarenka on this form. What a turn up from her previous match
Still in March and that's now more wins against top 100 players as she has managed in any full year before and lacking big wins last year. Sights really now on players near the top.
2022 : vs top 100 - W 10 / L 10 ( vs top 50 - 4 / 7 ) 2023 : vs top 100 - W 4 / L 11 ( vs top 50 - 0 / 6 ) 2024 : vs top 100 - W 11 / L 3 ( vs top 50 - 8 / 2 )

Yes, I was initially looking at just top 100. But Katie's been moving on at such a pace and her 8/2 win / loss record against top 50 players tells even more of a story.
Mihalikova and Errani beat Dart and Watson in Charleston before being thumped by the O's in the final. Errani is still a good doubles player - and the rankings show that this would be a tight match.
Probably never should lose was a bit strong, but I do not view Errani at the peak of her powers and you should be breaking her Grandma serve more often than not. Heather did not stick away in a few volleys in the first set and Tereza looked nervous at the start of the MTB.
