Well done to Edie, Daniella and Eric!

Big jump for Edie as her previous highest counter is 18.

Edie will rise around 340 places to around 570 in the junior rankings.

Very well done by Edie. Straight set wins all the way for the 14 yo.

What happened to Daniella, CD?

 So sorry !

Too many Brits to follow biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

I got the two girls mixed up on my post - glad that others came to my rescue and sorted it out smile

Daniella (age 13) did indeed win her QF at the U14 Cat 1 event - against a girl who just cried and wailed and, honestly, sounded like someone had trodden on the cat no

And, as others have said, Edie (age 14) won her J60 title in Norway which is a super result, and will give her a big boost - she's only got five counters at the moment so this is all plus points

J100 Netherlands

Tegan Bush is playing with Swedish girl, Deng, who was part of Sweden's winning U16 Winter Cup team

And together they've made the finals in the doubles

For context note that the Category 1 under 14 events vary in strength, and the Tim Essonne has no-one ranked in the Tennis Europe top 10. Many of the top 10 will though be in the Super Category event in Sweden next week I have added some information about Tennis Europe Categories to the sticky thread on rankings/grades

For any diehards out there, Eric is playing his semis as we speak

There's a livestream with French commentary (it's the main commentator who commentates for Roland Garros - it's good the way the FFT get the top guys to support U14 tennis)

And Eric has won the first set easily, 6-2

Eric lost the second set 12-10 in the tie-break, having lead the set 5-2 in games, and then having had a couple of MPs

He then led the third set 5-1, before getting pegged back to 5-3, and THEN finally winning !

A good match

He has a good serve and good strong groundshots

A bit flat-footed, and tends to hurry when he's stressed, and lose his legs, just all arm

But he definitely deserved to win

Daniella absolutely flattened the Estonian girl in the SF

She won 2 & 2

With the result in zero doubt

She now has to play a Chinese girl, Xinran Sun, though, who is an attractive player, some excellent qualities, and has waltzed through her matches

It'll be an interesting final. The Chinese girl will certainly be favourite.

J100 Netherlands

Tegan Bush and partner won the doubles !

Well done to Tegan - she has a J30 dubs title but this is at J100 level, a lot more impressive
