Is Alastair Filmer now Mika's coach? I thought it was Jocelyn Ross and team but I keep hearing Alastair's voice right near the mic over the YouTube video.

Mika lost 3 & 3

Didn't see it all, and only on livestream, but seemed a very respectable performance

Sun is a good player - she won at a trot yesterday - and Mika was hitting good winners past her, not looking outclassed on court, just not quite solid enough to put Sun under real pressure

I watched the livestream and thought Mika played well overall. Lost a sloppy service game in the first set which proved costly but a performance to be proud of. GB really have some superstars to (hopefully) look forward to!

Mika continues to impress. She seems to have Emma Rs ability to know instinctively what shot to play next. Like Emma in 2021 she hits the ball flat and close to the lines. Today, perhaps due to pressure from her opponent, she was hitting some just over the line. She also has a very good first serve and a good second serve. It's going to be interesting to watch her progress over the next 3 or 4 years.

I dont think we have ever had 3 juniors coming through with this much potential in one go.

When you think of the pros we have at the moment too we certainly look good moving forward but many things can happen.

Very excited at the coming years in British tennis.

FWIW, Hannah ( still just 14 ) and Mika ( turned 15 in December ) are now 1st and 4th respectively in the under 16s in the WTA rankings.

Weve got Liv in J50 events and Harriet dishing it in the under 16s; it feels like a scandal we need to get beneath the surface of! biggrin

Feels like this could be a well balanced final?

And they seem to be injury free too.  There are many more girls coming through too - quite a few boys as wel.
