Showing my age

Haha, indeed. I remember him best from Superstars! My favourite programme when I was moving into my teens!

Superstars for me too. It feels like a lot of us are contemporaries.

I loved Superstars! Can we bring it back, maybe retired sportsmen and women. Lineker against Henman at darts maybe?

I know it was good- Kevin Keegan falling off his bike on a cinder tradk! Brian Jack with all those sit ups and squat thrusts etc. jumpers for goal posts

What a great couple of results for Hamish and Henry. Hamish has really been ramping up his results recently.

Broom was better player deserved to win good serve I felt Aidan was hanging on in the match. Aidan has some great slices but he lacks power in his shots to be honest I don't think he has progressed that mutch over last few years.
Now the Robertson match is due to start the Belgian is a good player seen him before.

Thanks Scottie - Aidan and Charlie both strike me as players who are around the right ranking level compared to their likely talent and potential high points. I dont really see either of them too much higher, not really.

I think Charles is at a CH now or thereabouts, maybe just in the top 300 is possible; Aidan has been just inside the top 300 (298) and it would seem he is about where he should be, subject to the ups and downs in a season and how rankings float about...

Tx, scottie

Yes, Aidan is a relatively small, slight guy and he has to make up for that with courtcraft which is quite a tough ask and, like you, he has skills in that deparment but I don't think he's really made much progress in really stamping that game on his opponents, and I don't see how he's going to ....

Well done, Dan, and an interesting next round match. These Challenger events seem to have been much better than ITF's at this time of year, more of our players will benefit from events at that slightly higher level and seem to be taking advantage.

Charlie is into a second set TB. I see that he was 3-5* down and has saved a total of 5 SPs over the last few games.

As of now, Tennis Abstracts forecast tool rates the semis as possibly being:

Hamish v Gerasimov
Henry v Kyle

With Kyle to beat Gerasimov in the final

He was a break down in that second set!
