Boys & Girls: J30 Liverpool, GB - hard, indoor (Week 6)

There is also a TE event at Liverpool this week and I cannot believe that Daisy Wootton has elected to play TE rather than ITF again.

I spoke to Conor Brady's coach last week and was told he had come on leaps and bounds in the last few months, so had a feeling he would do well this week.

The QF are interesting - Alfie is local and the most experienced player in the boys and should win the tournament. Kouros is very talented, but still only young and lacks a bit of power against the older boys
On the girls side - Mia is talented, but very inconsistent. Elizabeth Evans should be playing higher level tournaments and is probably the best player left. Sarah Copley is an enigma. She has all the ability and when she is aggressive and is on her game, she is a match for anyone, but she lacks consistency.
The Turkish girl is part of Team Bath and is based in the UK

Conor got knocked out today, as did Kouros

But Matt Upton  got a good win (over Conor)

And Alfie, top seed, won

So those two play one semi

And the French qualifier and 8th seed Israeli play the other

In the girls, Mia lost to the top seed
Elizabeth Evans needed three tough sets to beat isabelle britton
Sarah Copley won in three
Arabella lost

In the semis, Elizabeth will play the top seed
And sarah plays the Turkish girl

Elizabeth Evans trained with Mimi Xu in Wales when very young children.  Cracking player but fell of the radar a little and now back on it.  Mimi and Elizabeth were the top players a few years back so it would be good to see where Elizabeth goes now.

Elizabeth missed a big chunk of last season with an injury, very good defensively.

Elizabeth Evans lost pretty easily to the top seed

But Sarah Copley won won easily over the gb-based turkish girl

So good luck to Sarah in the final

Two easy wins

Both Alfie and Satah won, barely breaking sweat

The TE U14 little sister event is also taking place in Liverpool

The SFs are:

Girls

Daisy Wootton v Katie Randall

Anna Wright v Milica Sakamoto MILOJEVIC

(Katie beat Yanziye Zhang easily which suprised me, although I know that there's a year between them)

Boys

GER v Samuel Hostiuc

NED v Reuben Stanmore
